We're closing out 2020 with a fun one, LIVE (and distanced) from the comforts of Alex's three-seasons porch because Alex recently tore his patellar tendon (he shares the whole story at the start of the conversation).
For Episode 11, we're welcoming Kayla Phillips on to the show. If you've been following us on social media, you know that we've been partnering with Kayla on our recent #LoveWhereYouLivePeoria campaign, through which we raised $1000 to give directly back to local businesses and nonprofits.
Kayla is an incredibly talented graphic designer and illustrator. In this conversation, she shares about her entrepreneurial spirit that was first developed through a greeting card business at a young age, what brought her from Kansas City to Peoria, her unique journey after receiving a teaching degree to going into full-time design, why she doesn't think a hot dog is a sandwich, her special relationship with afternoon coffee, and some updates on a recent art mystery in our community.
